How to Prepare for the World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade

There is a wealth of new worlds, cities, dungeons, people, professions, and mounts in Burning Crusade. Also, this expansion introduces some new features that will ramp up the already spectacular WoW gaming experience. Find out what you can do to prepare your account for World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade.

Furthermore, many gamers are wondering how the Burning Crusade affects current WoW game play. Many appear to wonder whether or not it's really worth the trouble to attain the highest PvP rank, or to become exalted in other factions, or to even obtain the newest and most powerful gear. Of course, if you are having fun doing all or some of these things, just keep doin' what your doin'. After all, having fun is what the game is all about.

Nevertheless, some may prefer to start from level 1, or prepare their level 60's for the expansion, so that it only has to be leveled in BC to 70, which is available in the expansion. Also, the dungeons in BC have been designed by Blizzard to be extremely challenging. What will happen is that, as you level up, you will navigate throughout all the Outland points at default difficulty. Also, you will earn your level-appropriate gear, and your challenge difficulties will be appropriate for your current status.

However, when you hit 70, your group leaders may choose to play the dungeons at Elite difficulty. Hence, challenges will then be appropriate for a level 70 group and the rewards gained will reflect this. All these dungeons will be winged and designed for five players. The old WOW dungeons will remain the same, as far as anyone knows.

Another point, is that in BC, leveling is more challenging because the XP requirements for each level are so higher. For instance, say you are going to level 62, but not need to advance with 700k XP rather than the previously required 500k XP.

Additionally, you may finish a particular zone's quests, and still need more XP, so you must grind to progress. Of course, some people don't mind this. There are also those gamers who claim that there will be enough quests at each level, in order to minimize grinding. Lastly, some players may find the alternate quests tedious, or they may not have the time for them, or for excessive grinding.

Others may look to other people or companies to acquire a high level World of Warcraft account - which may be a very good choice. It saves time and enables you to have what you want the most - fun.

Burning Crusade Expansion Warcraft World

With Blizzard's recent release of the "Burning Crusade Expansion Warcraft World" has been rejuvenated, veteran players interests have taken off again in the game. The Burning Crusades release has brought new zones, new levels, new character races, new spells and abilities, a new battleground and PVP system and much more.

I'll start off with the two new races that were recently added, the Alliance side received the Draenei. A extraterrestrial race that crash landed on Azeroth, they are the Alliance sides answer to the Tauren, being the biggest race in the Alliance now. Draenei can be Hunters, Mages, Paladins, Priests, Shamans and Warriors.

The Horde received the Blood Elves and magic addicted race of evil elves. Now the Horde has a beautiful race. Blood Elves can be Hunters, Mage, Paladins Priests, Rogues, or Warlocks.

Another cool feature that was added in the latest release was flying mounts, each faction has two flying mount types to choose from in assorted colors, there is a slow version and a fast version. The basic model appears to be a gryphon type creature or a wind rider depending if you are Horde or Alliance. Now you will need to have a certain riding skill to be able to take advantage of these mounts, and for the faster mount a pretty hefty riding skill is needed. You can only use these mounts in the Outland area.

Questing

Clear out your inventory before going questing in the 60+ range, make sure you store all of your unnecessary's. To make it easier for you on consumables - ie. bandages, scrolls or potions, mail yourself these items from a mule and don't fill your inventory with more than one stack of them.

Don't forget to move your Hearthstone, for the Outland area a convenient place is Honor Hold if you are Alliance and Thrallmar if you are Horde. The problem that you might encounter in some of the level 60-61 areas of Outland is the bottlenecks. With the new release 1000's of people are flooding these areas which are creating bottlenecks especially with the Quests where you have to kill a certain Mob, waiting for it to respawn can really take the fun out of the game at times. Blizzard is trying to deal with this time by regulating the spawn time by the number of people in the area at a given time. More characters in the area cause faster spawn rates.

Instances

The new instances in outland due to the popularity of the Scarlet Monastery and Dire Maul have been made shorter. All of the five man instances in Outland are made along the lines of the ones typically encountered in Azeroth. For the people who like to grind Blizzard has made the groups of mobs with similar abilities in different groups, for instance a priest type character might grind in an area with mobs that have a certain type of magical abilities, while a Fighter character would best grind in an area with mobs of different abilities.

Professions

Jewelcrafting is a new profession that was added in the expansion which allows you to craft rings, amulets and socketable gems, this should end up being a very profitable profession.

Battlegrounds

Battlegrounds are pretty much the same as they were before with a higher level cap and in addition a new Battleground has been added called Eye of the Storm. There are two levels in the new battle ground, 61-69 and level 70. There are 15 players per team and the first team to 2000 points is the winner.

If you are a diehard World of Warcraft fan like I am, The Burning Crusade expansion warcraft world only fans the flames of my obsession with the game.(which is a good thing) High quality content has always been a strong point from Blizzard and they have not failed in their delivery as usual.

Future Instances

There are two instances that are seen in the world, but not accessable.

* The Black Temple is located on the eastern edge of Shadowmoon Valley. It was formerly known as the Temple of Karabor and served as the inner sanctum of the draenei Prophet Velen. When the Horde began massacring the draenei, the Shadow Council under Gul'dan took possession of this as their citadel, named the Black Temple. After Gul'dan crossed into Azeroth, it became known as Fortress Shadowmoon and was ruled by Ner'zhul and his clan. Now it is the citadel of the Lord of Outland - first the Pit Lord Magtheridon, and then the half-demon night elf who deposed him...Illidan Stormrage.

The Black Temple will be opened in Patch 2.1.0.

* Zul'Aman is the capital of the Amani forest trolls that reside in Quel'Thalas. Little is known of what the instance itself will be, other than the fact that it will be a raid instance of some kind - whether 10-man or 25 remains unclear. It is located in the Ghostlands, the southernmost of the two areas controlled by the blood elves.

New Instances

There are several new instances in World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade.

* Auchindoun was formerly a sacred burial site for the draenei. It then became the fortress of the Bleeding Hollow orc clan. It was nearly destroyed by Alliance forces during the invasion of Draenor. The Shadow Council almost destroyed the tomb and the surrounding areas when they summoned Murmur, who is said to be the primordial essence of sound.
* Caverns of Time lie below the Tanaris desert in Azeroth. It is where Nozdormu the Timeless One, head of the Bronze Dragonflight and Dragon Aspect of time, makes his home. The Caverns of Time is actually comprised of three instances, in which players will be able to experience significant events of Azeroth's history and prevent them from being altered by a mysterious foe: Thrall's escape from Durnholde Keep, Medivh's opening of the Dark Portal, and the Battle of Mt. Hyjal.
* Coilfang Reservoir is a subterranean pumping station operated by Illidan's naga forces. Lady Vashj herself personally oversees its operation.
* Gruul's Lair is the lair of the massive ogre demigod, Gruul.
* Hellfire Citadel was formerly an orc fortress, and housed the warriors of the Shattered Hand and Shadowmoon clans. More recently, Illidan has converted it to his own uses, and is breeding an army of fel orcs within its walls.
* Karazhan was once the shining ivory tower of Medivh, the Guardian of Tirisfal. After Medivh's death, however, the tower and the land around it were blighted and cursed. The powerful nexus of ley energies beneath the tower still remains, however, as well as the myriad of treasures accrued by the powerful wizard.
* Tempest Keep was created by the Naaru to serve as both a fortress and a means of transportation. However, after arriving in Outland and leaving the keep, Prince Kael'thas and his blood elves stormed in and took over. It now serves as the prince's base of operations in Outland.

Dranei: New Alliance Race

The Eredar of Argus were an extremely intelligent race that attracted the attention of Sargeras, the Destroyer of Worlds, with their vast accomplishments. Sargeras approached the leaders of the Eredar, Velen, Kil'jaeden and Archimonde, and offered untold power and knowledge in exchange for the loyalty of the Eredar race. While Kil'jaeden and Archimonde agreed to pledge their loyalty to Sargeras, Velen saw a vision of the future, in which the Eredar were transformed into demons by Sargeras.

Velen and the as yet uncorrupted Eredar fled Argus and named themselves Draenei, or "exiled ones." Aided by the Naaru, enigmatic beings that blessed the Draenei with light-given knowledge and power, they settled on a peaceful world which they named Draenor, meaning "Exile's Refuge" in the Eredun tongue.

The surviving and uncorrupted Draenei fled to relative safety in their interdimensional ship, the Exodar. They crash-landed on the Azuremyst Isles of Azeroth, and pledged their support to the Alliance to fight the Burning Legion and the Orcs. Their capital city is named after their ship that crash-landed in Azeroth, and is built out of the largest husk of the remains of the ship.

* They join the Alliance along with Humans, Dwarves, Gnomes and Night Elves.
* The male Draenei dance is from the Tunak Tunak Tun music video, by Daler Mehndi.
* Their starting zone is located in the Azuremyst and Bloodmyst Isles which are off the western coast of Kalimdor.
* The following are available classes for Draenei: Warrior, Priest, Paladin, Mage, Shaman, and Hunter.
* The Draenei mount is the Elekk, an elephant-like creature. [2]

Blood Elves: New Horde Race

The Blood Elves are the remnants of the High Elves who survived the destruction of Quel'Thalas by the Undead Scourge. They renamed themselves in remembrance of their slaughtered brethren. At first they remained loyal to the human forces in Lordaeron and their racist human commander, Grand Marshal Garithos, but it became increasingly clear that they were no longer welcome in the Alliance.

* They join the Horde alongside the Orcs, Trolls, Undead and Tauren.
* Their racial traits center on their addiction to magic and result in increased resistance from magic used against them. Blood elves can drain mana from their enemies and prevent others from using magic by using a racial silence ability.
* Their starting zone is Sunstrider Isle, located in Eversong Woods in Quel'Thalas.
* Classes available to Blood Elves are: Priest, Mage, Warlock, Hunter, Rogue, and Paladin. It was announced that the Blood Elves would be the only race not to have warriors to keep the number of playable classes fair compared to other races. With the exception of the rogue, all of the available classes use mana to symbolize their racial addiction to magic.
* The Blood Elf mount is the Hawkstrider. [1]
* The voice of the male blood elf is provided by Cam Clarke.

Level Your New Blood Elf to 70 in 4 Days!!! Joana's Guide Shows You How--EASILY!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Joana's Guide ROCKS for leveling all Horde characters, but with the new expansion of Burning Crusade, he includes the starting area for Blood Elves. No joke--I took a Blood Elf Hunter from level 1 to 20 in just TWO DAYS TIME! And by "days" that of course isn't playing time, but actual days. So you figure a few hours in the evening on Thursday and Friday, some good playing time on Saturday afternoon, and BAM! He was all grown up and ready to move on to new and exciting areas. I was so proud.

My other characters were actually quite jealous for having spent weeks to get to the same place. >:( (If I ever get a new computer and a second account, watch out you beautiful blood elves, with your enticing dance moves and Fabio-ish hair--your mana tap won't work on a 70 Night Elf Hunter!)
